Sigh. In the time and place I grew up, we were required to use open locker rooms and to shower naked in open showers after PE (Physical Education) at least a couple of times a week, every week, from elementary school, through high school sports. It's pretty safe to say that all my same sex friends and classmates have seen me.

Although I haven't gone out of my way to be naked around my 6-year-old daughter and we haven't had any direct discussion about my nude body , I certainly haven't hid my body from her either. I don't want her views on what a body is supposed to look like to be shaped by the one-sided view the media presents.
